The creative workshop Element-METALL was founded at the end of the last century by Alexei Medvedkov. It was then, when he came to work at an engineering plant, the artist tried his hand at working with metal.
In 2009, together with like-minded Maxim Bulygin, they opened their first workshop on the basis of the old forge. From this moment the development of the workshop began, the first personal exhibitions were held in Russia.
One of the first exhibitions, ProLom, was held at the Polytechnic Museum in Moscow.
In October 2019, participation in the international exhibition Scrap (in the city of Doha, state of Qatar), consisting of more than 40 sculptors from all over the world, took place.The sculptures of the workshop were highly appreciated by art critics and artists.
And, on the initiative of the top officials of the state, the collection of sculptures of steam locomotives will be included in the design of the stations of the new metro. Since 2020, our permanent exhibition and representative office in St. Petersburg opens at the Russian Levsha Museum on Manezhnaya Square.
In 2021, an eco-exhibition is taking place at the art museum of the city of Sochi.
At the moment, the collective of the creative workshop Element-METAL has more than 10 people.
Artists are constantly improving in the art of recycling, since 2020, they have been creating sculptures from fiberglass, glass and plastic in parallel with sculpture from scrap metal.
